The Playoffs event goes on for 4 weeks and continues tracking your winning days until it is over. You can see when it will end in the upper-right corner of the main Playoffs menu and access additional information about the event and your progress in it by pressing Y/Triangle.
The days that you see when you enter the Playoffs mode display the progress of the current week. Once a week is over, this menu refreshes and starts showing your progress in the new week.
To sum up, your Playoffs progress does not reset weekly; the Playoffs menu is just refreshed every Monday to display the start of a new week in the event.
